The agreement between you and Lumi Steps when you buy access — written to be readable.
Last updated: 9 May 2026
These terms apply between you (the customer) and the developer of Lumi Steps when you purchase access to the Lumi Steps app. By completing your purchase, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't complete the purchase.
If you bought via the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies to your use of the app — see section 6.
If you bought via the Google Play Store, Google's terms of service for the Play Store also apply to your purchase and account.

Lumi Steps is a web-based app that helps parents and caregivers track their baby's milestones, soothe fussy moments, and support healthy development from newborn through 18 months. The app runs in any modern web browser and can be installed to your home screen on phone or tablet, or via your favourite browser as an app on Windows or Mac.
Lumi Steps for iOS is a native app available from the Apple App Store. It helps parents and caregivers track their baby's milestones, soothe fussy moments, and support healthy development from newborn through 18 months.
Lumi Steps for Android is a native app available from the Google Play Store. It helps parents and caregivers track their baby's milestones, soothe fussy moments, and support healthy development from newborn through 18 months.
You're buying lifetime access for a one-time fee — no subscription, no auto-renewals, no further charges. "Lifetime" means: for as long as Lumi Steps continues to operate as a service. We've designed this to last and we have no plans to discontinue. If we ever did need to wind the service down, we'd give you reasonable notice (at least 90 days) and offer a pro-rata goodwill refund where appropriate.
You have two protections, whichever is more generous:
Refunds are returned to the original payment card and typically arrive within 5–10 working days. When we refund, your purchase record is automatically deleted from our database — see the privacy policy.
App Store purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too:
Google Play purchases are handled by Google, so refunds are too:
When you purchase access, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lumi Steps for personal (non-commercial) use across up to three of your devices.
When you purchase access via the App Store, your use of Lumi Steps is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple's "Standard EULA"), which auto-applies to App Store purchases. The clauses below apply between you and us in addition to Apple's EULA, and where they don't conflict with it.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lumi Steps for personal (non-commercial) use.
Apple's role. Apple is not a party to this agreement between you and us; Apple's role is limited to providing the App Store and processing your purchase under Apple's own terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty service for Lumi Steps — that responsibility is ours (and our service provider RevenueCat's). If Lumi Steps fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price under the App Store policy. Apple has no other liability with respect to Lumi Steps.
When you purchase access via the Google Play Store, your use of Lumi Steps is also subject to Google's terms of service and the Play Store's standard buyer protections. The clauses below apply between you and us in addition to those.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lumi Steps for personal (non-commercial) use.
Note: Google Play does not currently support sharing in-app purchases across different Google accounts (Play Family Library covers app installs but not IAPs). One purchase covers every device signed into your Google account; other family members on their own accounts would need their own purchase.
We update Lumi Steps from time to time — bug fixes, new features, and improvements. Updates are included in your purchase at no extra cost.
Web updates roll out automatically next time you load the app. We're rolling out App Store, Play Store, and other native versions of Lumi Steps over time. Your existing web purchase will not automatically grant native-app access — those native versions are sold separately by Apple and Google. We'll keep the web app available indefinitely for existing customers.
iOS updates are delivered through the App Store at no extra cost. Your purchase covers Lumi Steps on iOS only; the web (lumisteps.app) and Android versions are sold separately on their own platforms.
Android updates are delivered through the Google Play Store at no extra cost. Your purchase covers Lumi Steps on Android only; the web (lumisteps.app) and iOS versions are sold separately on their own platforms.
Lumi Steps provides general guidance and content informed by published material from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have any concerns about your baby's development, health, or wellbeing, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
We try to keep the service running smoothly but we can't guarantee 100% uptime.
Occasional planned maintenance, third-party outages (e.g. Stripe, Vercel, Resend, Upstash), or unplanned issues may briefly interrupt access. We don't owe a refund for short interruptions.
Occasional planned maintenance or third-party outages (e.g. Apple's App Store servers, RevenueCat) may briefly interrupt verification of your purchase. The app itself runs from your device, so most interruptions only affect first-time purchase or restore. We don't owe a refund for short interruptions; refund requests for App Store purchases go through Apple as described in section 5.

Except where we owe you specific things under UK consumer law (see section 10), Lumi Steps is provided "as is" and "as available", without further warranties of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
Subject to those, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with Lumi Steps will not exceed the amount you paid us (i.e. £14.99). We won't be liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these terms (for example: trying to share access at scale, abusing the refund policy in bad faith, or attempting to bypass payment). In all but the clearest cases of abuse, we'll write to you first via your registered email so you can respond.
If we terminate without good cause, we'll refund the unused portion of your purchase pro-rata.
You can stop using Lumi Steps anytime — there's nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.
Within 30 days of purchase you can also request a full refund (section 5). After 30 days, simply ignoring the app is enough.
If you'd like your data deleted regardless of the refund window, email support@lumisteps.app. See the privacy policy for details on your rights.
Within Apple's refund window you can request a refund through Apple (section 5). After that, simply uninstalling the app from your devices is enough — there's no account on our side to close. (We don't hold an email or device list for App Store buyers; see the privacy policy.)
Within Google's refund window you can request a refund through Google (section 5). After that, simply uninstalling the app from your devices is enough — there's no account on our side to close. (We don't hold an email or device list for Play Store buyers; see the privacy policy.)
We may update these terms from time to time — for example to reflect changes in the law or new features. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If the change materially reduces your rights, we'll email active customers to flag it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by agreement will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint, please email support@lumisteps.app first — we'll do our best to resolve it. UK consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
